I bought this for my 7 year old son's birthday on 5/27/20 because he is a new reader and loves to read before bed. The first week was great. Holds a charge, probably 4 days with night use. However, it is now only 6/6/20 (approx. 1.5 weeks later) and nothing is charged at all. This morning I took it off the charger, put it by his bed and when he went to use it tonight it had no battery. He didn't even turn on. He's really disappointed. Otherwise, I really liked this lamp - so much that his 9-year-old brother bought one shortly afterwards with a gift certificate. Only time will tell if his life gets better and this one was just a lemon, or if they both end the same. Although the light cuts well, good brightness, nice yellow color etc, if it doesn't turn on it won't do any good.
