These were purchased to help my 3# Yorkie jump on furniture. I don't think they were cut properly as I couldn't open them with reasonable force. In the end I decided to just risk breaking it and stepped on the end (putting on a boot so I wouldn't get caught). The wood cracked horribly and I expected to find a crack somewhere, but I didn't see it. However, once I open both, I will never try to "close" one for storage. I glued the rug to very slippery surfaces as these are basically "anti-slip" points. nothing but decoration for marketing images. Now work on the dog.
