My wife is 5ft 6in; She continued to struggle to get the laundry out of the washing machine. Because the top-loading load is nearly 44 inches high, it's difficult to reach the bottom of the tub. So we bought a chair in response. It's a solid wood construction and folds to fit between the washer and dryer.

Step stool is beautiful and very durable. However, the top is slippery when wearing socks. I had to buy and glue a traction tape. It is also extremely difficult to "lock" it open. After several attempts to get the stool fully into its working position, it snapped, catching a finger and leaving a bloody blister.

That's a really strong stool! A bit small for an adult, but depending on how you use it, the overall size shouldn't be an issue. Only one thing bothered me. It was very stiff and tight when I first put it on and if my fingers were near the hinges I would have pinched my fingers badly.

Great stool for our 21 month old baby. It's a bit small at the moment to take full advantage of the sink, but he'll get used to it. difficult to develop; It's a little sticky, but we keep it assembled under the sink. Our kid can easily pick it up and take it to another room when he wants to grab something. I also like how it compares to the brightly colored plastic options. Overall I would recommend, especially if you want to avoid plastic chairs.

If you wear shoes and are an able-bodied adult, this stool will work. Be careful not to pinch or knock over. I bought it for my daughter but definitely won't be using it for her for much longer. Of course, the top does NOT stay completely flat when the stool is unfolded unless you actively press down on it from above. So if you step on it, there's a very high chance the Bajeezus will knock you off your feet.

These were purchased to help my 3# Yorkie jump on furniture. I don't think they were cut properly as I couldn't open them with reasonable force. In the end I decided to just risk breaking it and stepped on the end (putting on a boot so I wouldn't get caught).
