Nice little stool - if you're lucky and get a good one

I really want to love this chair - I was surprised that there aren't many options (that I could find) for fold out wooden stools out there. That's actually the only thing I could find on the internet. First of all, I would like to encourage the manufacturer to improve their quality control game (or develop one at all). As a result, I saw 3 of these stools, of which I kept 2 for myself. Of the 2 I originally ordered, one was perfect (5 stars): it folds perfectly flat, light weight and the two parts of the platform line up very well. The second was very similar to what other reviewers have described: it remained slightly bent when unfolded (without weight on it). This has resulted in me pinching my fingers a few times. In addition, the hinges were screwed badly (see photo) and bent. Poor, poor quality (1 star for effort?). I returned this one and got a third one, something in between (3 stars). It unfolds evenly (judgment!) but there is a gap between the two half-platforms (not very big - see photo). However, I kept it because it doesn't look dangerous on its own (I didn't pinch myself and my kids didn't pinch it for a week) and as I said, there aren't many other options. there for wooden folding stools. So. The bottom line is if you have the patience and want to get a good one. keep trying!
