🚗 Short Carbon Fiber Car Antenna - Universal Replacement (4.7 inch) Aluminum Black AM/FM Radio - GTP Review

I bought this antenna to replace the stock antenna on my Mustang. I get excellent reception, almost the same as with a standard antenna. It's so small you won't even notice it. Since I bought it, other friends have bought the same for their cars.

This item has been on my car for two years now. It still fits well and looks nice. Reception is normal for developed areas, but I wouldn't recommend buying if you live far out of town. If you are looking for an inexpensive replacement antenna to listen to local stations this is a very good buy.

Works perfectly. Ease of installation. BUT the top and base which were originally black metal would quickly show through if the black paint evaporated, dissolved or otherwise disappeared. So if you like the copper look, go for it. Otherwise what you buy is not what you will get later. Disappointment. (See photo)

Antenna works as advertised. The radio reception works better than with the old antenna because the standard antenna broke off. After leaving it on the car for 1 month, the black color started to fade. Now it's like a brown-bronze color. It was installed on a 2006 VW Rabbit.

Instead of a bunch of keys I'd rather have a small blister pack of Loctite. This is my second antenna, I had to use a 'straight' mounting screw for the first one and it vibrated completely in the antenna and detached from the car. This time I added some Loctite to both ends and so far so good.

My old 'whip' expired and I removed it thinking it would only affect satellite radio. This also applies to AM/FM. I checked out the local dealerships and they didn't offer anything I wanted at a reasonable price. This device is equipped with a suitable adapter (simple threaded rod suitable for antenna and all different sockets). works perfectly. I wrote this because I see several similar or identical combined for 2-3X$$.

After seeing several standard metal radio antennas rusting on my boat I decided to try one. The quality here is extremely poor. When I first received the piece it seemed decent enough. Nothing permanently binds or fixes the antenna to the base. When I started screwing them on, I tried to hand tighten them as much as possible. From the very first attempt to screw it in, it seemed like the threads slipped right in as it tried to press nice and firmly against the base.
