I have returned this product. I wanted a wooden step stool and have been looking for it for a long time. I was willing to pay more for one than a folding plastic step stool. However, when it came out, I found poor workmanship (gap at wood joints, rough unpolished spots, poor design, broken parts, glue residue), numerous flaws (thin wood, gaps, overuse of flimsy hinges, legs made from bevel-cut halves) and several dangerous and likely entrapment hazards. Realizing I was having trouble opening and closing it while avoiding very severe pinch points, I didn't want to risk my family and 4 year old getting hurt because of it. I support wood alternatives, but please make the product better and safer.
