Initial tests worked well. I then plugged it in and installed it in its final location and sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. I was confident in my siren and speaker setup so I looked at the wiring. I removed the speaker, disassembled it and replaced the factory wiring. Then the speaker worked again. I reinstalled and then I had a fire in the structure which I responded to and it went out after a few seconds of turning it on. I removed the speaker again and opened it up fully to find that the problem was cracked solder on the pin (see image). After re-soldering it worked fine but what a pain in the ass it was.
