I used to run quite a bit. Then I had children. Then I had surgery on my back. Needless to say, I took a break from running. It's been about 4 years since I put on running shoes and hit the streets. I was looking for a reasonably priced shoe with soft (enough) soft soles to cushion the hard asphalt but still have enough support. Received them a few days ago and was VERY happy that they were so comfortable right out of the bag rather than the box. I put them on and did my first run in years. I only ran about a mile at a moderate pace, but these shoes exceeded my expectations. Thanks to the mesh upper, they are light and breathable. I didn't feel any back pain. (By the way, this old man's legs hurt from running, but that should hurt after a good workout.) It's early days and I plan on testing them with progressively longer runs each week, but so far I'm pretty happy with them buy mine and will probably buy another pair to carry with me because they are so comfortable.
