Purchased less than a year ago. The ceramic pot cracked at the lip when washing (not dropped or chipped). The chip is on the edge leaving a gap between the pan and the heating element at the bottom so it is now unsafe to use as the heating element can get wet. I immediately contacted Aroma to let them know that this incident was outside the warranty period and I would need to buy a new pot. I was advised not to use a stove with a broken pot. I was told the pot was in line and I would have to wait a few weeks to have it replaced (AT OWN EXPENSE). Turns out that item is no longer made, so I have a $129 brick and need to find a new rice cooker. I will try to contact Aroma again to solve this problem but I doubt it. After this experience I will NEVER buy an aroma product again.
