I received this monitor today, set it up, (simple and easy), and have used it several times to gauge its accuracy and consistency. For a home unit, it's accuracy is a bit less than that of a professional machine, but certainly within acceptable limits for self-monitoring. The construction appears to be sturdy and the electronics work as they ought. Time will tell, however, how sturdy and reliable it is. My disappointment is this; when investigating the MANY such instruments available, I inquired about every one's place of manufacture, since I prefer to buy American-made products whenever practicable. I was told this one is made in the UK, London, to be exact. IT IS NOT. This, along with all but the Omron, significantly more expensive, is made in China. That doesn't necessarily, nor automatically, mean it's inferior, but the cost advantage for many, including me, is an incentive to purchase it rather than the NOT demonstrably better Omron product. After some time with this, I shall post additional comments after much more experience with it.
