Review on πŸ–±οΈ Logitech ERGO M575 Wireless Trackball Mouse - Enhanced Thumb Control, Precision Tracking, Ergonomic Comfort Design - Windows/Mac, Bluetooth & USB Connectivity - Off White by Craig Shah

My favorite trackball now has Bluetooth!

I already have three Logitech m570 trackballs for work and personal use. Now Logitech has added Bluetooth to the M575. This update alone makes it perfect for my MacBook Pro, Surface Pro, iPad, etc. that doesn't have a USB port or only has a USB port. You can still use the USB connection (there is a place to store this item in the battery compartment when not in use). The lack of Bluetooth was the only reason I also have the Logitech MX Master 3. I prefer the trackball, although the MX Master comes in handy when editing video in Adobe. m575 connects via Bluetooth with no problems. I downloaded the Logitech Options software from the support site to customize my buttons. Be sure to check for updates for newly installed software as well. Otherwise your m575 mouse may not be recognized. I really like that this mouse still uses a regular AA battery which lasts a long time. I personally don't like rechargeable mice (MX Master 3 is rechargeable). Sometimes I would throw these devices away because the battery would no longer charge, even though the product itself was still working properly. Also, I don't like pausing and reloading. It's easier for me to put in a new battery. Rechargeable AA batteries can be used if desired. The trackball seems to move more precisely and smoothly. Maybe it's because it's new. Maybe because it got better? This is enough for me to update some of my other ones that I use. The mouse is a good weight and the shape makes it comfortable to use (and I'm a very small adult). The M570 weighs 4.8 ounces. and the m575 says it weighs 5.5 ounces. on Dymo postal scales. I have a white color and it has a blue ball with a slight sheen. Looks great! The only way I can improve this is to add the ability to connect to more than one Bluetooth device (like my MX Master 3) and make it pink like some other mice. I think it's excellent value for money. I would and probably will buy more!

Pros
  • Ideal for tight spaces. Because the trackball doesn't move, it's perfect for tight workspaces and busy desks.
Cons
  • Power outlet required
