I have been using this type of product for a few years. I have used these freezer cups from different vendors. So far most of the previous freezer cups I've used have failed due to cracks in the cup's outer shell. My guess is that the reason for this is the re-cooling of the gel material being loaded between the inner and outer shell of the cup, causing the gel material to expand and press against the cup's plastic shell until it weakens it and finally brings about external integrity. to break (i.e., crack) cups.
