I pulled the chain out of the chain mechanism on my Hunter fan and tried to take it apart and replace the chain myself. I've been able to do this up to this point, but haven't been able to re-spring the chaincase block so the chain retracts as soon as I pull on it. After trying to save money for about 3 hours I finally ordered this new one and it was the exact same switch as my fan. It took about 5 minutes to install after I figured it out. Just had to break the circuit, pull 4 wires out of the old switch, just plug them into the new one in the same order, turn the power back on and enjoy the nice cool breeze again. If you are a DIYer like me, this product is perfect.
