My adult son uses them all the time.
They were fairly affordable, looked good, and fit my son. He uses them on the hard floor in the house and leaves them outside his room to walk on the carpet in his socks. This is how we keep our carpet clean. You are comfortable for him. They are free for him, but not so much that he abandons them. We chose the plain black ones because we wanted them to look good for longer.
