This is my favorite hair straightener. It works better than any flat iron I've used and is perfect for my medium to long hair. I've often used the highest heat on my extremely frizzy hair, which did a lot of damage, but it was the only way to keep my hair decently straight in the North Carolina heat and humidity. I bought the most popular hair straightener on Amazon, the HSI Professional Straightener, to replace it. Big Miss Steak. It sucks by comparison and I've already thrown that straightener away. I sent this straightener back and bought this one again and am just as happy with this one as the others.
