The strips may be waterproof, but the power supply, controller and connectors aren't. The wires aren't long enough to separate the unsealed material from the straps, which are presumably waterproof when attached to the outside, so I find calling it waterproof (at best) misleading and at worst case for dishonest. As for the many complaints about the strips not sticking to the wall - these lamps get hot and this causes the adhesive to not work. You need to use some other attachment system that is secure and won't break the walls when you try to take it off. The price is pretty good for what you get - assuming it lasts a while.
