I bought this particular device for the auxiliary heating but unfortunately the heating function is pretty crappy. I can crank it up to a max of 86 and it will blow cool air. It takes more than an hour for the room temperature to rise four or five degrees. Eventually I will hear the heater turn on and it will warm up immediately, but that may take a few hours. Actually I don't think it's a defect, just bad design as this device isn't designed to work in all climates, say below 50 degrees. It's definitely fighting. The $80 heater I have works better.
