Review on πŸ“± Metra 99-7803G Single/Double DIN Installation Kit with Grey Display for 2003-2007 Honda Accord Models by Jon Hill

Revainrating 5 out of 5

5 stars because this is the best Accord period dashboard kit.

After reading the reviews I was very confused but bought it anyway. I installed a manual AC control in a 2004 Honda Accord and installed a Pyle stereo with a dual 7" screen. Also, I had an old version of this single din kit for years, this kit solves all the problems I had with this kit. The prize is a great way to customize your dash and install an upgraded stereo. I have uploaded custom photos of this kit in the dark and am hoping they will be added. Both the driver and passenger sides are tempered and all functions are relatively easy to activate. Will NOT fit the Pyle 2 din stereo I bought. I used a dremel to remove 1/4" of the plastic around t. It's perfect for a double din radio, looks pristine without the use of a stereo trim. specific button for 10 seconds then I let go it at rest for 2 minutes until it settles in. (Good) Changing the color of the main LED works great, you can independently adjust the color of the day and night panel that's left over, this part sits just above the fold down bottom flip bin and when you put it back in stock it is not visible.Without this there is no other way to install a double din slot so this is a must have.I was going to dremel this but the Hacksaw made a cleaner cut and took 2 seconds.7.(OK) This kit included the strap wire for the dash kit AND the standard Honda radio patch kit.I kept the old one I had but was glad to use the new .8 instead in. (Good) Forget about buying an extra shelf downstairs. You have to maneuver a bit to get back to the storage compartment and the door can no longer be opened/closed due to the lack of space above it. Regardless, it looks great and fits and retains its factory appearance while open.9. All wiring is color coded using the standard colors used in all aftermarket radio wiring harnesses. It's extremely easy. I was able to mount the stereo in the dash and solder+shrink all but two of the connectors before installing it in my car. The two connectors I had to solder in the car were my mono amp signal wire and the parking brake ground wire specific to my stereo.
