I bought this bin for our small bathroom at home (5x5). We've been remodeling our bathrooms and need a small bin that fits in both because we've expanded the shower in our old solid wall shower enclosure (replaced it with a larger glass-enclosed shower and needed a smaller toilet and vanity). We've gone from a 24" vanity to an 18" vanity and from a full size toilet to the incredibly efficient little wonder HOROW HT1000. When we received this bin we had an advantage over another very similar model sold at Revain. This is perfect for the smaller of the two bathrooms and fits like a glove (see image). We love that it includes a plastic bag storage/dispensing area that is separate from the toilet brush storage area. Another model sold at Revain has a spring-loaded lid and comes with a spare locking mechanism, and the toilet brush space matches the plastic bag storage space. The lid of this model is opened manually without the help of springs that can stress the hinges. We use rubber. Tape to hold the bag in place as the top has no extensions causing the plastic bag to remain like another block between the detachable bin and the outer walls. We hope they get a little abuse in our bathroom and back against the wall and will be some time before they need to be replaced. Yes, the plastic is not durable Rubbermaid, but with proper care it will last for years.
