This isn't just a manual lens, it's a really great lens. It's also very sharp at f1.8. Images captured with this lens will introduce chromatic aberration in high-contrast, backlit subjects, but this can be easily corrected using manual lens correction in Adobe Camera Raw. I posted some examples of this to compare the original photo then enlarge it and then apply the corrections. Example images were taken with a 2004 Canon XT with APSC sensor. Yes, this camera is 15 years old and still works. One of the cats used flash. All shot at f1.8.
