Bought about 3 months ago, works 24/7. So far no problems. We live in Florida where everything is humid and humid. There is no ventilation in the master bedroom closet and mold is growing on the clothes. Dump reed does not help. We need a block like this to keep the humidity down. This is our third installation in about 10 years (different companies). They eventually burn out and stop working if they run 24/7. I hope this lasts at least 2-3 years. We keep it on the closet floor. The green indicator changes to yellow and the device stops working when the water tank is full. Ours fills up about once a week. The yellow light reminds me to empty it. I don't like lugging that much water out of the closet, but this seems to be our only solution. I'm not sure how this will work in a large room, but it's the perfect solution for a small closet.
