Slim! Best in Computers and Accessories

Summary - Buy Slim Jr. ebags if you are tired of using the same bag as everyone else, if you want a neat and professional look, if you want a bag that will help you organize things well , but also forces you to minimize what you carry and if you don't want to spend big bucks on expensive options. I'm happy with the bag after a few months of daily use and several plane trips. Details: I'm fed up with my messy, oversized Swiss Gear bag (see photo). It has served me well but has become like my old baggy clothes which have now been replaced with neater ones. As a frequent traveler I was looking for something tidier and something more compact. I also looked at backpack styles from Osprey, Timbuktu Q, SOLO Bradford, and eBags Professional Slim. Thanks for the other reviews and to David Zhang. great youtube review of the regular slim model. I confirm all the positive reviews about the bag and some of the cons. I'll try to focus on some new perspectives here. I chose Slim Jr. among other brands mainly for its storage capabilities, particularly the hard floor garage (huge) and the front organizational panel that allows you to separate small items. and open them slightly to get them. I chose the Slim Junior over the standard Slim primarily because of the 2 inch height difference, especially since I Jr. fits perfectly under airplane seats. I wouldn't mind if Slim Jr. was at least 1 inch deeper. All zippers are YKK, as are some plastic anchors. Good stuff. All external zips including the bottom garage and front pocket can be tamper sealed with a small ring as shown for the top set in the eBags product images. The tourist in me could see these rings being used as attachment points to tie down something light like a jacket. The computer bay has a vertical magazine/laptop space at the top even with the bottom pad in place. I could get a small bag to store things in this available space. The bottle holder is a bit small as others have said, but it held my Nalgene bottle fairly firmly and I would trust it. I plan to use the bottle bag to store valuables while going through airport security. I'd rather put them in my bag than leave them unattended in the scanner tray. Because the main compartments are full, the outer front pocket is quite narrow, leaving room only for papers. When I took off my fleece vest, I was able to store my valuables there as well. The luggage pass handle worked well for my small Victorinox scooter (although still a slow task) but not at all for my Travel Pro. The Travel Pro's handle is wide and rubberized to prevent slipping. See photo for a simple workaround using a small carabiner that has worked well on several trips. The edges of the pass-through key are too tight and almost wrap around the outer edges of the case, making it difficult to use. eBags could have made this clear bag a little looser or come up with another easy attachment method. The chest straps are removable which makes the look even neater (see easy stowage (see picture). Standing upright with good stability is very nice thanks to the hard box at the bottom for a soft bag. There are also ample reinforcement pads. Some criticized it but I did like it In summary I was looking for a thin and compact case that looked more professional than the old Swiss Gear and the Slim Junior meets these requirements very well Swiss Gear, I found an insane amount of extra pens, sticks, gum packs etc. that fit have accumulated in the pockets of the Dark Abyss over time (see fig) I'm glad this bag will help me make things easier and easier This is a great bag if you're looking for a unique, thin and neat bag who keeps things organized very well.
