I've always known I needed extra light for my bedroom closets. Especially in the early morning hours of New England winter when we get up early in the morning to get to school. But nothing seemed to fit - until I saw these little beauties from Black and Decker. These little suckers are great. First, they are very well thought out. They fit elegantly and comfortably into the arch of the cabinet door frame. They are simply attached with the high-quality 3M adhesive pad. I was immediately concerned that the sticky pad would interfere with battery replacement - I don't need that. With Black and Decker, the cushion is attached to a small magnetic plate. Gently pull the mount out of position and the magnetic plate/pad will stay exactly where you took it off and simply reattach it to the mount. Second, the motion detection sensor is wonderful. Simple triggering when opening/closing the cabinet door. And because it's motion detection, it doesn't seem to matter if the bedroom is dark when you open the door. The light turns on. Brilliant. There is also a manual switch that can be set to "off" or "on" depending on your needs. The LED backlight is quite bright and makes finding clothes much easier. The whole block is small and unobtrusive. This requires 3 AA batteries in each pack - something you will need to have on hand prior to installation as they are not supplied with the lights - an unfortunate omission I think. If I didn't have them handy I wouldn't be too upset. But I think it helps keep the price down. Nonetheless, these units work well in closets or under counters and provide plenty of light due to their small footprint. Pretty cool. 5 Stars!
