My hands used to be so dry from work I got these itchy bumps and cracked skin. I haven't had any since I started using it! I recommend to all my patients. I apply it every night before bed, dry or not, and it seems like my entire skin barrier has been able to repair itself. I have a dispenser bottle in my office, one by my bed and one in the bathroom. It's definitely thick and a bit oily, but absorbs pretty quickly. If I'm using it during the day and need to touch something, I just place it on my arm and wipe the bottom of my arm.
