Lock works but definitely not as well as it should. I can lift the door a little more. It locks enough to keep my snake inside while it works until I can get a front opening guard.

Fits my son's 20 gallon tank snugly. The flip cover is very convenient for him to feed his turtle every day. The mesh upper assured him that his pet would be constantly breathing fresh air. Mesh appears to be durable with regular use.

This is the only aquarium cover I would use for our turtle. It's pretty light so we keep the plant up so it stays where it climbs the pole and tries to get out from time to time. The door locks and is the perfect size. As the tank heats up to 80*, the cover will rust in a year or two, so we'll just swap it out for a new one.

With the right clamps this nozzle works great and makes feeding easier. I would NOT use it for a snake or lizard that likes to climb walls or from above. The gate is a little flimsy and the lock sucks, the corners don't push down as much. I use it for gray tree frogs. They don't climb to the top, only to the glass, and even if they do climb, they're not strong enough to push the edges apart.

I bought this for the lid of my mom's 20 gallon turtle tank. It fits the tank perfectly, good quality and we like the small door. This makes it very easy to feed the turtle without having to remove the heat lamp we installed at the top of the screen. I also looked at local stores and in fact Revain had the best price for this type of item. I expect this cover will last as long as my parents don't have turtle issues. Good quality and price - I recommend!
