This cover solved a stressful problem for us! My daughter has a couple of gerbils and our cat is VERY motivated to play with and/or eat them. Made of mesh and thin metal around the edges. It was sent in the original packaging and arrived bent almost in the middle. I could tell from the outside of the packaging that the item would be damaged. The lid is slightly bent so it's still functional, just doesn't open and close smoothly. One of the loops is hanging from a torn edge so I don't know how many times I'll be opening and closing it before it comes loose.
