I just bought a Disney exclusive pair and decided to go with the base. As my first pair, I didn't know how sizing worked. I have small, narrow feet and I usually wear a 6.5 in women's shoes and a 7 in sandals. I'm thankful enough to fit large baby sizes. However, size 5 is perfect for larger children. They still feel comfortable with socks. I also found Mickey's arms here on Amazon and bought 2. Very happy with this purchase. So if you're a similar size to mine, save $10 and buy the big kid size.
