This Garmin Nuvi air vent mount is perfect for our new Ford Taurus and Mercury Grand Marquis. It is very easy to put on and take off and we can easily transport it from one car to another. The Garmin mount fits just as snugly on the new ball as it did on the original. As I don't like mounting the GPS on the windscreen, that was pretty much the only option we had for the Taurus and once it was mounted it didn't fall off like it sometimes happened with the suction cup we previously had used with the Grand Marquis. The vent is much more convenient and secure than high up on the windshield and not as obvious to would-be thieves. It also holds up well when driving on different road surfaces.
