I'm a Girl Scout leader and we just used these awesome tent poles on our recent camping trip. What makes them good is NOT glow in the dark. To be honest the glow was very faint and didn't matter much. What makes them great is the basic peg design (very smooth and easy to hammer into a solid group) and the great tent peg head design. It has a good "hook" to hook onto the tongue of the tent and a hole in the end of the peg. This allowed us to place guides and other places for the ropes without fear of them being unsecured. Also, my Girl Scouts set up a tent and 11-year-olds could easily drive these stakes into the harsh Arizona desert with a hammer. Earth. If they can do it, then so can you. Ditch the thick flexible plastic pegs that come with your tent - grab them!
