Living in the city and not having reliable neighbors to keep a spare key, I needed a safe to safely leave the key outside just in case I did lock me in or i need someone to come to my house in case of emergency. I only put my house key in it, but there is room for a car key or extra keys. It would have been easy to attach the unit to my fence using the screws provided, but I didn't even have to exert myself as I used the shackle to hang it from a pipe on an old water meter in my gate. You can also hang it on your doorknob. What a relief to know that I no longer have to worry about getting banned.
