Review on Babo Botanicals Mineral Sunscreen Unscented by Abby Johnson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Would you like this sunscreen

A few years ago I developed an allergy to simple sunscreens, so I was looking for something that wouldn't itch me for days after using it. I tried Waxhead but it was so thick, difficult to apply and made me whiter than usual that I risked burning myself for not wanting to wear it. I decided to try something new and bought Babo Botanicals. The best solution. It's thick too, and if you haven't used it recently it needs a little shaking/squeezing to mix everything together, but it rubs in thoroughly and doesn't leave a white sheen. I used it while hiking around New York in the sun in July. I found that even when I reapplied after 2-3 hours I still got a little pink. However, it was incredibly humid, so maybe I was just sweating. It says it's waterproof for 80 minutes so I probably should have applied it more often. I don't know how it will do in a swim as it seems to wash off easily with moisture, but it's much better than Waxhead and many others that have similar white sheen ratings. It was also easier to remove later when showering. I felt like I really needed to delete Waxhead and even then I felt a residue, but not on this one. The best part? No itch. This will be my new sunscreen. It has a slight medicinal odor, but it's barely noticeable. In the second photo, the sunscreen has been rubbed in lightly. After complete rubbing, it becomes transparent.
