I've lost count of how many beds our pup ate during his puppyhood. Decided to try this bed. It was easy to assemble. Simply insert the sticks into each hole in the material and connect the legs. I washed it immediately upon receipt on the gentle cycle and air dried it outside. It didn't get wet after washing, so it dried quickly in the sun. After washing everything was fine. I've just washed it for the second time and it's still in great shape. What I like: * Easy to wash. * Easy to move (lightweight). * The fact that I can pick up the bed and sweep under it and get the hair and dander that you would normally find on a regular pet bed. * Puppy seems to like it. She plays on it and sleeps on it. I'm not sure I can call it a chew guard because you can chew anything. I really think it's not as tempting as chewing on a fluffy cloth bed. So maybe this can be called reduced chewing? She bit down on the plastic connectors on her legs, but nothing serious (small teeth marks). I watch her like a hawk because I refuse to throw away another bed. Overall I'm happy with it.
