I found on the forum that all 1999-2008 GM vehicles require coolant supplementation if I remember correctly. I've never seen or heard of it. I just completed a full overhaul and after replacing all parts of the cooling system I could smell coolant after the ride. I've pressure washed the engine bay several times but the smell kept coming back. I could smell it as I walked across the front of the car. That means there's still a leak somewhere. I added them because there are instructions on how to add them. After a week the smell is gone! I am very happy with the results! I put this in all my GM cars. 2004 Cadillac, 2000 Silverado, 2002 Avalanche. It works out!
