It worked great! best in wallpaper and wallpaper material category

I have a dresser that is a few years old where the factory coating on the top was peeling, curling and peeling. I don't currently have the funds to replace the entire bedroom set, but I've had plenty of free time so figured I'd spend about $10 to try. I took a heat gun and paint scraper, removed the factory laminate on top, cleaned the surface of any adhesive residue and bought this product hoping the color would be close. It turned out as good as I could have imagined. The product itself appears to be relatively durable and is easy to apply. It even allows for repositioning if you work in smaller increments and don't apply much pressure at first. Take your time and work from the center, starting at one end and working your way to the other, so you get a lot fewer blisters. At first I thought I could line up an edge or even two, but then I realized it would be easier to just leave the protrusions around the entire perimeter and then trim them down. You can also wrap the edges if that works for your specific application. If you find a blister or two, pierce them with an Xacto knife or the tip of a razor blade and squeeze out the air by working from the puncture site and then onto it. Trimming is best done with a single blade razor, it cuts through this material like butter. I used a plane as a straight edge to help me cut where the top met the factory bar on 3 edges, back it's just on a square edge just to run the blade along the edge as a guide. removed, I used a wide bladed trowel and a heavy cotton sock (sports type) worn over the knife, then used more force to push through the vinyl. So far the grip is great. The investment is worth it! BTW, if you're applying this to a hard, non-porous surface, I would recommend applying it with a spray bottle and some water with a drop or two of dish soap in a bottle and spraying it on the hard surface as well. like vinyl and lay it in place, then squeeze out the bubbles, working from the center in all directions using a method similar to that previously described with a sort of squeegee - again protect the surface with a towel, a sock, a thick paper towel, etc. p.
