The case comes just as pictured. As with any case, there will be some wear over time. The leather darkens due to hand oils. And the fabric tears due to abrasion and use. The cloth material will fray and the leather will stretch.I ordered this case on January 1st and it's lasted a good 10 months. Originally, I could hold 2 cards and some cash. Now I can hold three cards (loosely) and have room for cash. The leather has darkened and I have a hole in the bottom corner, caused by the cards. The edges of the cloth portion are completely frayed.In terms of protection, I have dropped my phone many times with no issues. There is aa slight bump to protect the screen and the back camera. The cards in the back also work as a protective buffer.
