I wanted to love every part of this rocker. When I bought it, I was looking for a modern rocking chair that I could use to rock my baby to sleep. After seeing the reviews and how nice it looked I bought it and regretted it. I've had him for 2 years now, so I've given him a lot of chances. At first, the underside of the seesaw felt like it would work well on carpet, but on a tiled floor I was rocking and within five minutes found myself inches from my starting point. The more I rocked on it, the further I came back. I'd have to get up and adjust or get my husband to move it back to where I originally installed it. Second, I weigh about 130 and can sit comfortably for about an hour. My husband who has a 260 hates them and can feel the plank underneath. He is very uncomfortable sitting for more than 10 minutes. Eventually I found that every few months I tightened the bolts on the sides of the rocker arm where the knobs attach. I tightened them and then my husband and both times they loosened but luckily for us they didn't fall apart. Those issues aside, the seesaw was easy to assemble and looked nice, but it wasn't a good buy for us.
