Review on Portable Laptops Trio Kickstand + Full Nintendo 14.1", 1920X1080, 60Hz, Anti Glare Screen, Trio Max Combo by Julian Martin

Revainrating 2 out of 5

It will do the job but not worth the price.

Brief background, I'm a video game developer. I have 2 of these for my 17.5 inch laptop so I can keep developing when I'm away from my main computer or when I want to be somewhere else at home during the pandemic. You will do your job. but don't expect it to look like your laptop monitor. Pros: 1920 x 1080 FHD (Full HD) Detachable USB-C to USB-AS adapter Slim profile Hides easily behind screen Easy to connect to Windows (don't know Mac, I think you need a driver) Cons : (there are many and I am not exaggerating) 1. Magnets cannot hold the screen as the screens weigh just over 2 pounds each when extended. the weight shift cannot be supported by the magnets, but the plates remain. super"smooth". Sorry misleading video. It won't go on. I had to go and get double sided tape (foam square) just to give it enough grip to stay on without slipping on it. d back.3. It can't be 60 hertz because the screen lag/mouse lag suggests it handles up to 60. I also assume it's because I had to use adapters in the CA hub just to get it working. But even when the monitor is plugged directly into the USB-C port with the included CC cable, serious ghosting occurs. So if you're thinking of using this as something other than a street monitor I'd look elsewhere. I checked my switch. Texture halos again. (If you don't know what ghosting is, it's basically screen blur/trails/texture tails as the screen can't refresh fast enough.) The x and y pixel refresh rates aren't in sync and it is, as if they were only used low-budget monitors for tablets. What makes this suspicious is that when I turned on one of them, there were literally 4 white dots burned into the image on the screen, and I had already asked for a replacement.4. The clips meant to hold the two monitors together allow the back panels to slide. I don't know if this is the intended function. but it doesn't stay in place, especially for a large laptop. So extremely annoying. But luckily back to the double sided square foam photo tape, it fits perfectly on both ends of the clip. and that keeps him from moving.5. This is especially true for those who buy two monitors. Back to the weight of the screen. Together, these screens weigh more than your laptop. unless you have a very strong screen hinge and a way to weigh down the base of your laptop. I do NOT recommend getting two of these. Luckily I have an extremely rigid screen hinge. but again I had to use double sided foam tape to "glue" my laptop to its outer fan panel so it had enough counterweight. 6. This product is grossly overpriced for what it is. Over the next month I'll be testing a few things to see if I can improve them. but he does NOT deserve the rating he has and if what i said is not a problem for you then of course. spend $300. because you're essentially paying an extra $120 for a cheap piece of plastic, 4 magnets, and 4 plates that don't work. The hinge that holds the monitor in place when it's extended can't support the parallel weight of the monitor, so it sags. I personally. I don't mind that it's permanent. As I said, I need real estate. but between refresh rate, ghosting and sagging. I literally cannot recommend this product and will most likely return it unless it improves with driver and display settings.
