It's not surprising, but it has its advantages. I usually prefer a texturizing putty to add volume and texture to my hair and I wasn't sure if this would give me what I was looking for or not. It adds some volume and shape to my hair, but it's really subtle and not very noticeable. I have very fine/thin hair so it's nice that no matter how much of this stuff I wear it never weighs it down, makes it greasy or tangles. I can sleep with it in my hair and not have to frantically shower in the morning to wash it off. So if you are looking for a simple product that will add some life to your hair without weighing it down, this is a good product for you! If you're looking for lots of texture and volume, I would recommend another Style Sexy Hair product called Texture Frenzy. I tried this product after running out of Frenzy and I regret not getting more of it at all. However, it is a good product, I use it every day and notice a small difference.
