You get what you pay for

I'll correct my previous comments on the Ybeki Spin Bike SPD pedals below. After contacting the company about the issue, they responded within 36 hours. Provided a photo of the problem with the right pedal and a detailed explanation of the problem. I was instructed to order another pair of pedals (they couldn't ship out the exact right pedal) and if the new pedal worked they would give me full credit for the purchase. The second right pedal worked like clockwork. While quality control could be improved, customer service was excellent! I bought the Ybeki Spin Bike SPD pedals, a hybrid toe clip and strap pedal, because I needed an SPD pedal for my peloton and my kids who were home on vacation didn't have riding shoes. My open bike is equipped with Shimano SPD pedals; However, I thought I would save some money by buying the Ybeki brand. I didn't heed the warning of several reviewers who said they couldn't snap into one of the pedals - my fault. The pedals were very easy to install; From the moment I put them on, neither my husband nor I could snap onto the right pedal. A return is not worthwhile. I will try to contact the company to see if they just send a new right hand pedal. Analyzing the clip, I immediately noticed that the spring was on the wrong side of the clip, and despite my husband's best efforts, we couldn't even dislodge the clip from the pedal; The screw on the bottom was too tight. So learn from my mistake, just pay the extra $20-$30 and get a Shimano pedal or some other great brand.
