Review on πŸ‹οΈ Powerfully Delightful: Body Fortress Super Advanced Vanilla Whey Protein Powder - Gluten Free, 5 Lb! by Sander Savala

Pretty chunky

This product was recommended to me by a friend. I've tried quite a few protein powders. I've been looking for something even more budget friendly than Optimum Nutrition and honestly it's clear where Body Fortress either "compromises" or just offers a slightly different product. First off, it's worth noting that Body Fortress uses a serum. Concentrate, not whey isolate like Optimum Nutrition. The main difference here is that isolate, as the name suggests, is an even more "pure" protein nutrient. In practice, this means you have to eat more to get the same amount of protein. So yes, two hefty scoops will give you 60g of protein in one powerful shake. but it also means more calories, more fat, and perhaps most worryingly, a TON of cholesterol. I go through the product so quickly. Although Body Fortress costs a little less than ON, you use a much larger scoop, so you use more powder in less time. At the end of the day, you get a few more grams of protein, but at an almost negligible price difference. I wish I had taken that into account more when purchasing. If I ever get the urge to really put on some weight, this might be my best option, but I'm already doing pretty well with macros without needing the extra fat found here. Thanks to Body Fortress, the powder mixes easily with milk or water and has no unpleasant smell or taste. So for what it is it's ok. However, there are some clear compromises/fixes in this product that don't work for me. * Chances are you'll be fine if you work and exercise a lot, but those using it as a more nutritious/calorie supplement should take that into account.
