I bought this charger after trying a few cheaper Qi disc shaped flat chargers over the years. With these other devices, my iPhone often slowly drifted away from the tablets, otherwise the alignment would not be perfect. After a few hours, I inevitably reached for my phone and found that it wasn't charged at all. This Logitech booth changed my idea of wireless chargers for the better. My phone charges no matter how I place it on my pillow - the entire back of the charger feels like a 'gold spot'. It also charges my iPhone when it's in an Apple Qi-enabled battery case. I've also used it with standard phone cases and it works just as well. The device is well thought out, with simple, minimal lines, subtle branding, and speaker/mic cutouts on the bottom. The workmanship is solid, there is a pleasant soft-touch coating. The charging speed is decent for a Qi device, but it can't match a cable with a high-performance adapter on the other end. I find it perfect for charging overnight or at work during the day - just flip your phone back and forth for an hour. I only have two small complaints about this otherwise perfect product: 1. The LED on the top, although dim, can cast a faint glow in a dark room. I'm very sensitive to light at night, so I solved this problem by attaching a small piece of white tape to the top of the device.2. The power cable appears to be proprietary - one end is permanently attached to the charging cradle, while the other end connects to the included power adapter with a thin bullet connector. This is probably fine for most users, but it means you can't plug it into a standard USB hub, use a longer cable (not an electrical extension), or replace the cable if it's damaged. I think this is a great product that has exceeded all my expectations! Well done, Logitech!
