I began wearing these as skirts, And then found myself lifting the top to wear as a sleeveless halter dress with a lightweight blouse open to cover my less than perfect upper arms. They have held up wel so far. I do find, however, they work best wearing with a slip. The fabric is on the lighter side and is somewhat see through when standing in bright light. A slip also helps keep the fabric from stretching out between washings and helps smooth out body bumps that show with the item on its own. I did find, also, that the red is more of a heather red then a deep one red that I was expecting.
