I was looking to replace a failed Pioneer receiver I had installed in my garden with two separate pairs of speakers. I'm a heavy Revain Music user and had an Echo Dot that provided inputs to a Pioneer receiver and then speakers. When this block started to go haywire I was looking for a new option that would offer more flexibility and this is perfect for what I need. As part of this sound upgrade, I'm adding an extra pair of speakers in the far corner of the pool yard and an outdoor subwoofer. Capable of driving up to 4 pairs of speakers, this Pyle receiver also has a subwoofer output, giving this unit many possibilities, not to mention the number of different inputs you can connect to it. I have the same Echo Dot plugged into the rear aux-in and can use it or any other Alexa-enabled device to turn on and stream music. The volume for each pair of speakers/channel can be controlled independently from the device, but once everything is balanced I simply use the Echo to control the overall volume, pause/resume/skip songs and even join in on multi-room music with my other Echo devices throughout my house. (I set up a group of speakers called "House Party" that includes this setup in my backyard, my Polk Command Bar soundbar in my office, and a stereo pair of Echo speakers paired with an Echo subwoofer in the kitchen to deliver great sound. Although I'll probably never use the karaoke feature, it's great to be able to plug in a mic. We have parties at our house from time to time for the middle and high school students at our church, so having a mic is handy DJ making announcements launching games or whatever other input options are handy and being able to switch to bluetooth and do things right from the phone is a good thing a lot of the money there are better sounding systems out there , but at a higher price point, this Pyle device is ideal for playing music during a poolside party while also offering more variety of inputs and outputs exits. options.
