Review on Optimized for SEO: Osprey Skarab 22 Men's Hydration Hiking Backpack by Michael Hughes

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great little day pack.

After looking at many different backpacks for day trips, I settled on this one. I used the Skarab 22 for 5 day hikes this summer and I love it! Lots of space and I usually never manage to fill it all. The side pockets are also very good and all my liter water bottles fit in perfectly. Overall, the backpack is comfortable and the material feels premium. For me, this bag is almost perfect. Issues/Complaints: - If you really like zip pockets/specific compartments then this bag is not for you. There is only one zipped pocket on the top. I don't mind having only 1 zip pocket and 1 large main compartment. Side entry for pockets is something of a gimmick. Yes, it's nice to be able to grab your own bottle without taking your backpack off and have someone get it. The downside is that the water bottle rests against the side of your body which can be uncomfortable/annoying. The carry handle feels solid but I wish it was thicker. Especially when my backpack weighs 15-20 pounds. While I appreciate the waist belt, I wish it was more comfortable. Luckily, you can remove it entirely. Considering the price, a raincoat would be a nice addition. With the Osprey Hydraulics LT 2.5L tank: The supplied water bladder is also great! It is very practical if the tube is attached to the magnet on the chest strap. An external bubble sleeve is also a nice feature. People have said they've had water leakage issues with this particular water bladder, but I haven't had any issues so far. Maybe it's because I never fill it to the max. The only problem I had was filling and removing the hose the first time.
