This thing has a lot of details. If your child is small, they will need help to assemble. The material is excellent. This is a colorful and bigger toy than I thought. Now I know why it's called DIY, your kids can build any type of house they want. So in a sense it could be a mansion that takes up a lot of space or a building that looks like a house. WARNING: There are no paper instructions included if you wish to make one of the models from the box (hence DIY) but you can use the QR code on the outside of the box which will take you to a video tutorial if you do want . We didn't think about it until it was too late. We just follow the picture in the box so it probably took us 2 hours to put it together but it was worth it. The girls enjoy it. Good starting point.
