My 5 year old daughter still has accidents at night sometimes, mostly when she's so tired that she sleeps very well and/or I wasn't paying enough attention and didn't let her get out. Drink inside too Plenty of water 1-2 hours after bedtime. I now firmly believe that ALL mattresses should have a waterproof, hypoallergenic coating to greatly extend the life of the mattress! Even we adults occasionally shed hair, get sick or sweat profusely from time to time, all of which of course seeps into the mattress and potentially ruins it or wears it out much sooner than it should. I'm so glad these protectors aren't really that different from a regular mattress pad, but they do so much more! I wish my only child hadn't potty trained a few years ago to first buy waterproof mattress pads to realize the days of wrinkled plastic sweat causing monstrosities are over and Jas technology has come so far with the materials available has progressed. Now conveniently protect your mattresses! None of the mattresses in my house are ever without one, in fact there are always at least 2 per mattress so if one needs washing there is always one clean! My only wish is that it has some kind of fill level? You can find them, but they're harder and/or a little more expensive, and this single mom can't always afford the higher end. However, this is my only very small minus, which I still highly recommend!
