It was nice at first, but after regular use when I hurt my back I found the opposite. Now I don't know what "super genius" is in ACME. I mean Aronta, who thought using plastic gears in this product was a good idea (probably some curmudgeon who has to strap a rocket to his back while roller-blading and pointing at the next cliff), but unfortunately I got sidetracked. This is a bad design/construction decision for a bad, bad product. Why do you ask? Hmmm. let's think about it Use CHEAP plastic gears in a heated massager that you have to use with some pressure to get rid of the pain. What happens to plastic when heated? It loses some of its molecular composition and SMOOTHES! Once this happens and the specified pressure is applied, the gear will start to slip. (That's that clicking/crunching sound you hear!) And once the gear slips, the two "massage joints" (I don't know what else to call them) move relative to each other and no more massage. Now you can try to align the massage joints by twisting the side that slides all the way, but you'll have to twist the rest of the twist all the way until it's balanced. And if you miss one or the other soft plastic gear, you have to go in circles again. Because for some reason it doesn't click back into the opposite rotation. In any case. Once he slips the first time, he's done and will never work like that again. So if you only use it for a massage twist and then let it cool down before using it again to prolong its lifespan, this might be for you. But I would go the other way. PS: I learned all this because, unable to give it back, I did what any inquisitive mind would do. I opened it up to see how it works. And then when I saw how badly made it actually was inside and realized I couldn't fix it unless I had access to a machine shop, I threw it away in disgust. Now I am looking for a high quality massager. But unfortunately most companies only tell you what the product does, not what the cheapest and weakest plastic link in the chain is. So life is!
