I bought these filters for my 2012 Mercedes GL550. The filters come with instructions stating that the glove box must be removed to access the filters. However, I followed the lead of some people on the car forums and got access to the filters under the passenger side air intake. Lift the hood and you will see the passenger side air intake just below. The plastic case rests on 2 metal brackets. Using a flathead screwdriver, slide the clips to remove the housing and reveal the filters. There is more room on the driver's side for access, making it easier to pull out the driver's filter first, then slide the cabin air filter to the right and push out. Install in reverse order: insert the first filter on the driver's side, then slide to the left until it is flush against the wall. Then you can insert the filter on the driver's side. You may need to bend/push the filter slightly during installation, but be careful not to tear it. Once both are in place, flatten the filters as needed. Truly a 10 minute job once rendered under the hood. I didn't bother asking the dealer for a price on this, but I'm sure you can save a bunch of bucks by doing it yourself.
