Review on JVC HAEBX5B Sport Headphone Black by Rich Ferguson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good fit and decent sound

They fit me much better than other in-ear headphones I've had in the past but I have to use the plastic ear tips - Monster I Bought last month to better fit my ear. The included plastic inserts are sufficient, but I still feel like they fall out and I like the sound of the bass, but they sit loose enough in my ear that I don't get the full bass tone I like. I have weird ear canals so most headphones don't work in my ears, but they're about as close to having headphones that don't feel like they're falling out of my ear. I was concerned about the behind-the-ear clip rubbing against the back of the ear, but so far they're comfortable. **Update** so last week they took a trip through the washing machine. I fully expected them to be destroyed and I would have to buy a new pair, but now they work like they never went in the washing machine. To me it's pretty amazing. If it were a pair of Yurbuds or Bose headphones, they'd be history. Shows that buying headphones for less than $20 works, especially when they have the same deep bass as the more expensive ones and are machine washable **7 Month Update** The right speaker has most of its sound lost. At first I thought I was getting old but after listening to the speakers on opposite ears, it turned out that the sound disappeared. I suppose that's to be expected for any speaker, and given that he'd previously traveled the puck, perhaps that just hastened the deterioration. These are great headphones if they aim to be, but mass production takes its toll I guess
