I had to replace my old work box with a new one. Because the new work boxes attach to the drywall, it is not recessed behind the drywall. As a result, the original sign was not flush with the wall, but there was a 1/8 inch gap around the entire perimeter of the sign and wall. I ordered this panel to cover up some drywall damage that occurred when replacing the work box, but was very happy to see that this panel is deeper than the original stock panel. This not only repaired the damage to the drywall, but also eliminated the joint.
